Planning Your Event
For the safety of our guests, staff and volunteers, beginning July 1 we can schedule rentals for up to 25 people, including future rentals.
The Observatory is the perfect setting for smaller, more intimate events. We can accommodate no more than 25 guests (to include a wedding couple, photographer, and any other extras needed). Rentals last two hours on the property (including set-up and clean up). Outside catering is not currently allowed but you may bring your own food and drink to serve.
For an indoor event:
We can provide tables, chairs, AV equipment, and include a tour of the buildings and use of the telescopes (weather permitting).
For an an outdoor event:
The beautiful grounds make an idyllic setting for smaller outdoor gatherings. It would also include a tour of the buildings and use of the telescopes (weather permitting).
Rental Fee: $500
We hope to expand our capacity at a future date, but safety is our highest priority and we cannot schedule any future events for more than 25 people.

Parking
There is free parking in the circle driveway in front of the buildings that can accommodate approximately 40 vehicles.
Hours & Music
The Observatory is located in a quiet historic neighborhood and we do not allow amplified music outdoors. Music must be played at a reasonable level and events must end by 10 pm. Final tear down and clean up must be completed by 10:30 pm.
Observatory Hosts
Your hosts for your event are the staff and volunteers of the Cincinnati Observatory. They are here to make sure you and your guests have a wonderful event and are always willing to share their expertise in the history of the Observatory, our telescopes and astronomy in general. Hosts will also assist guests while stargazing through our historic telescopes (weather permitting).
